Freddy Garcia just like his last start had a difficult time in the fifth inning. Unlike in Chicago though Joe Girardi recognized it at the right time and mad a pitching change. After Kurodas complete game yesterday a well rested Bullpen was able to put together 4.1 scoreless innings with Logan getting the Win and Soriano as usual making it interesting in the ninth but getting his 33 save of the year. This one was of the four out variety. Granderson’s hit his 200th HR of his career adding an insurance run in the seventh and Swisher and Suzuki both had big days as Jeter went hitless for the first time in a while. Swisher has been on fire, In this series vs Cleveland he went 7 for 11 with a HR and 4 RBI including 2 doubles.  This one though was a team effort. Only Chris Stewart came up empty as Jeter had an RBI and Ibanez a walk and everyone else at least one hit.

Just heard an interesting tidbit as this HR by Granderson makes the Yankees the only team in history to have 8 starters with 200 or more career HR.  That to me is an amazing stat. The Yankees return home tomorrow night for a series against the Jays. Tune in later for pitching matchups and keys to the series.
