Ok so the Yankees head home losers of the ALDS. It was ultimately their offence and not their pitching that let them down in the end. They had plenty of opportunities but just couldn’t put the ball in play when needed. You have to tip your hat to the Tigers pitching.

So what now? Well there will obviously be some behind the scenes things that we will never know about but I imagine the players get a little rest and then start preparing for next season. Some of the looming questions will be , What of CC’s opt out? Is that the end of Posada as a Yankee? Will the Yankees take a look at Colon or Garcia for next season? Will Montero break camp with the team? Will the Yankees look for a big arm to fill that number two or three spot via free agency or trade? These are all good questions and over the next few months we will look at them as well as many others as we begin to shape the 2012 NY Yankees.
