After a rough patch CC Sabathia regained his composure and took the Yankees into the eighth inning down 4-1.  The Yankees rallied back with two runs in the eighth and two in the ninth to give CC a complete game come from behind victory and gave the bull-pen the night off all in one foul swoop. Sabathia, now 5-3, only threw 103 pitches and struck out only three. In my mind the real hero was Curtis Granderson. Unlike the usual HR clinics he puts on for opponents tonight he went 4 for 5 with an RBI. Posada had a big pinch hit double in the ninth that set the table for Texeria’s walk off single that secured the Yankee victory. AJ Burnett delivered Tex’s pie but it was more of a glancing blow. I’m sure the next time the impeccable control he has been showing on the mound will carry on to his pie throwing.  The Yankees remain a half game ahead of Boston as the AL East has regained the form that was expected out of the gate.
