The Yankees young pitching prospects known as the Killer B’s are making an impression during this first week of spring training. It started with everyone noticing how well Andrew Brackman has looked during his bull pens. Now the other two killer B’s Dellin Betances and Manny Banuelos are stealing the show with lights out performances in their spring debuts. Betances struck out the side and hit 97mph on the gun and Banuelos had two strikeouts and a crippling curve ball during his debut today.

Now neither of these young guns will break camp with the Yankees due to their age and that they are not seasoned enough to throw anywhere close to the number of innings that the Yankees need from a fourth or fifth starter but don’t be surprised if you hear these guys names a lot in the next few seasons. Seeing kids with this much talent and poise in the Bombers minor leagues gives me a renewed confidence in Brian Cashman and the Yankees future. These kids are going to be stars and I wont be surprised to see one or more of them make a start of two in the Bronx at some point this season. If all three of these guys live up to their potential they might be the beginning of a new Yankees Dynasty focused around great pitching instead of great hitting.
