Center Field.  For the Yankees this is Curtis Granderson. After a rough start to the season Granderson was able to make some mechanical changes to his swing under the instruction of Kevin Long and turn it all around. During the months of June thru September Curtis had 20 or more hits each month, finishing with 9 Hr in the month of September. Granderson also was strong in the field all season long, he had only two errors and five assists and showed good speed with 12 stolen bases and only being caught twice. At 29 years old Granderson hopes to pick up where he left off this season and be the Yankees CFer for many years to come.

For the Red Sox it’s Jacoby Ellsbury who was limited by injury to only 18 games last season. If we assume that he has made a 100% recovery he was a beast in 2008 and 2009 so he could pick up right where he left off. In 2009 Ellsbury had 70 stolen bases in 2009 and missed most of 2010 due to a rib injury. He doesnt win the Power battle compared to Granderson but I have to give him the advantage in about every other catagory. Sorry Yankee fans this one is going to go to the Red Sox.
