Mark Teixeira goes 2 for 4 including a game winning Home Run in the seventh inning as the Yankees beat the Twins 6-4 in game one of the ALDS.

The Twins looked dominant thru the first five innings and then the Yankees do what they do and came back with 4 runs in the sixth. In no small part due to a three run triple by Curtis Granderson. Sabathia walked home the tying gun in the bottom half of the sixth but it was short lived as Mark Teixeira had a 2 run blast off reliever Jesse Crain in the seventh.

From there the Yankees bull pen took over and Rivera shut the door in the ninth for a first game of the playoffs win. Tomorrow night Andy Pettitte takes the mound in hopes to put the Yankees on their way to a first round sweep.
