Another sweep of the worst team in baseball this time at the hands of the best team in baseball. The Yankees Mowed thru the Orioles 7-5 for another series victory. Andy Pettitte went five strong innings enough for the win before being removed with a sore elbow. Joe Girardi and Brian Cashman are being careful with Andy who is now 4-0 with an ERA of 2.08, Cashman said they would take it day to day and he may evn miss his next start but have no plans to DL him at this time. The Bombers are starting to have the injury bug biting at thier heals . First they lose Curtis Granderson for as least a month with a pulled groin. Then Mariano RIvera has been out the last few days (although he looks ready to come back) Jorge Posada has been down for a few days as well. A-Rod also missed a couple of games. With the exception of Granderson the Yankees are counting their blessings that none of these injury’s have ended with a trip to the DL. Even through all the ackes and pains the bombers are suffering its been thier starting pitching that has been the best in baseball. With the exception of Javy Vazquez who has been awful the other four starters have a combined record of 15-1 with everyone having an ERA less than 3.00. That my friends is what makes this team better than last years world champions. Some changes will be made, you will probably see Robertson get sent down and you may even see the Yankees part way with Marte. If things dont turn around for him soon you may see the Yankees suddenly find some injury with Vazquez and DL him or worse case designate him for assignment. Although the Dollar signs will probably prevent that from happening.

Tomorrow is an off day before the Yankees hit the Road on a 17 game road trip beginning Friday night at Fenway where it will be Phil Hughes 3-0 vs Josh Beckett 1-0 with an ERA over six. Saturday we will see Sabathia vs Bucholtz and Sunday AJ will take on John Lester on ESPN Sunday night baseball. Check your local listings for coverage and game times.
