Tonight Andy Pettite gets to show the world why he has more than 200 wins and a 19-8 record against the Red Sox. If you ask me its not because he has great stuff, its because he knows how to pitch on the days when he doesnt have great stuff. Andy will be facing off aginst new Red Sox Hurler John Lackey. Lackey is no push over pitcher. He is the Sox number three pitcher by thier count. If you ask me he should be the number two guy behind Lester but thats a story for a different  Blog. ( perhaps one of our sister blogs such as Between the poles or Scrambled Sports ) Anyways  here is a look at tonights line-ups.

YANKEES
Derek Jeter SS  – Has been right in the middle of every good thing so far this year
Nick Johnson DH- I Dont even think he has a hit yet but he gets on base better than anyone in the game
Mark Teixeira 1B- Surprisingly quiet but watch out when he heats up
Alex Rodriguez 3B- Red Hot will put another dent in the monster tonight
Robinson Cano 2B- Is the most productive hitter of the series thus far
Jorge Posada C- Shows no sign of his age so far this year
Curtis Granderson CF- I Best CF the Yankees have had since Bernie , just wait you will see
Nick Swisher RF- His all business approach to the game this year is paying off. He looks very comfortable
Brett Gardner LF- I thought it was a mistake not to start him last night. He is so underrated he  will have two more hits tonight

LHP Andy Pettitte

RED SOX
Jacoby Ellsbury LF- Great in the field ,light with the Bat
Dustin Pedroia 2B- Best player on the Sox he is a 150% every play kinda guy. No clean uniform here
Victor Martinez C- Ligit power threat. Not so good behind the dish
Kevin Youkilis 1B- annoys the piss out of me but he is one of the best hitters in the leauge
David Ortiz DH- All washed up . He will be replaced by Lowell before the end of April
Adrian Beltre 3B- Great glove, good power  not convinced he will hit for average. Strikes out to much.
J.D. Drew RF- Quietly one of the most valuable guys they have. consistant and doesn’t make mistakes
Mike Cameron CF- Good speed for his age. But not impressed with his bat
Marco Scutaro SS- Overpaid for what he gives you should have stayed with Jed Lowery

RHP John Lackey

A few other notes: Chan Ho Park is probably not available because he has been Ill. Joba probably wont pitch again  tonight but i wont be shocked if he does. The Bombers also picked up a 1b/OF from the Padres off Waivers .  Chad Huffman  who batted .269 in AAA last year with 28 HR and 68 RBI. At his best scouts say the 25 year old is a future star but at his worst he is a part timer at best. He has options and has been assigned to Scranton-Wilksbarre.
