I don’t understand what the debate is all about but this is how see things. Joba Chamberlain was given the opportunity to compete for the fifth starter position and didn’t do well. He also had the Job last season and didn’t pitch well. In 2008 in the bull pen he was awesome. He also pitched well out of the pen during last years post season.

In the set up role he is dominate he throws harder and seems to show no fear. In the Starting role he thinks to much loses velocity on his fastball and has difficulty keeping the ball down in the zone. I truely believe that Joba may be the best set up guy in the game and if it were up to me would be the heir to Mariano Riveras throne. Joba has energy with his fist pumping emotion and his 99 mph fastball Joba is back where he belongs.
