Joe decides to leave Ace in

Joe Girardi wasnt sure if Alfredo Aceves was going to pitch in relief on Friday or start on Saturday. Today he made the Decision Ace will start on Saturday. After the starters were told that their results counted now Phil Hughes and Joba Chamberlain responded by each pitching four solid innings to make their case as to why the job should be theirs.  Saturday Ace will get his shot to show that the job should belong to him. So far this spring Aceves has been the most consistent and as of a few days ago had logged the most innings.10 innings with only one run on two hits and five strikeouts.

Most believe that the fifth starter job will go to either Joba or Hughes and this has been our primary conversation of late. Saturday will be a huge game for Ace. One thing is for sure all three of them will certainly contribute to the team during the regular season. Speaking of the regular season single game tickets will go on sale tommarow, here is the official press release:

Beginning Wednesday, March 24, tickets may also be purchased at the Yankee Stadium Ticket Office, all area Ticketmaster outlets and all Yankees Clubhouse Shops.
