Joba Chamberlain seems to be over the flu bug that has kept him out of the line up. Hopefully the next time he takes the mound he will fair better than his last.

Andy Pettite threw a simulated game yesterday and felt good about the results. He threw 18 pitches to Randy Winn and Collin Curtis ,striking out two on one hit with a walk. Pettitte will see his first game action on Friday against the Nationals.

Nick Johnson who has been nursing a stiff lower back took BP feels good and will be back in the line-up today.

Coach Tony Pena remains out with the flu.

Fransisco Cervelli will see a neurologist today to examine his noggin after he was hit in the batting helmet by a wild pitch. They might not make so much of it if it were not for the fact that he was hit in the head by a back swing in November while playing winter ball.

Chan Ho Park will throw BP for the first time today and should see game action soon.

Javier Vazquez will make his first start today and Sam Bordon says he was literally whistling in the clubhouse.
