Rangers Yankees BaseballEvery once in a while the Yankees are going to lose, It happens. A few bad pitches cost them in this one.

Yankees on the mound: AJ Burnett pitched well but had that one bad pitch that gave up the three run homer that cost them the game. He gave up 3 runs on 2 hits over 6 innings and struck out 12. On most days thats going to easily get it done. Just not today. Rangers are a good team and they were able to keep the hot hitting Yankees off the bases pretty much all day long. Phil Coke came in for 2/3 and gave up 3 runs, so thats a little concerning. Robertson gave up 1 and Aceves pitched a perfect ninth but none of that mattered as home run was all they needed.

Yankees at the dish: 2 Runs on 6 hits 😦 Thats not going to win a lot of games. But Tex and Damon both had 2 hits and Tex had both RBI’s as he continues his hot hitting. Most likely he will cross the 100 RBI plateau during this next series.

Yankees on Deck: The good news is that the Bombers have a short memory and Mr August CC Sabathia 15-7, who has not lost in August in two years, is taking the ball against Mark Buehrle 11-7. Mark has struggled over his last two outings he has pitched 11.1 innings and allowed 9 earned runs. Sabathia over his last two has gone 14.2 and allowed 5 Earned runs. Again you have to give the advantage to the Yankees.
