warrena In the Forth round of the 2009 Draft the Yankees picked RHP Adam Warren at 6’ 200lbs he is a young man with a very high ceiling.

The 6-foot-1 right-hander did not allow a run in six  outings for the Staten Island Yankees in the short-season Class A New York-Penn League before giving up one against Williamsport.

Warren, out of North Carolina, is 4-1 with a 0.96 ERA and has twice been named the NY-Penn League Pitcher of the Week. He has 28 k’s  3 walks in 37 + innings. Warrens fastball sits consistently in the low 90’s and also pitched in the College world series with UNC. Warren is also a fellow Blogger with his own site. In his shortened season at Staten Island Warren also earned an appearance at the minor league All Star Game.

I look for Warren to be in Trenton as early as 2010 and who knows from their the sky is the limit.Next up the Yankees Second round pick John R Murphy
