Joe Girardi had his much anticipated homecoming to Joe Robbie Stadium ( I also refuse to call it the land shark thing)and now its AJ Burnetts turn as he takes the hill today against a very solid pitcher in Josh Johnson who went the distance in his last outing in Toronto only giving up 3 earned runs. Johnson who is 6-1 with an ERA under 3 is having a stellar season and should have a better record if it were not for a less than stellar bull pen. However Florida has won 4 or his last 5 starts and the Vegas line has the fish favored with him on the hill.

Burnett spent his first 7 seasons with the Marlins and is second on their all time wins list with 49. The right-hander improved to 14-6 with a 3.19 ERA in 28 interleague starts Sunday when he yielded four hits over seven innings in a 15-0 rout of the New York Mets.

Xavier Nady saw some action in a rehab game going 2-3 with a walk in 4 innings. Nady will make it back however I’m still voting on his elbow being a time bomb that will blow up at any minute. (mark my words).

Here’s to hoping that the people in Vegas lose a bunch of money today.” Here Here” My bold prediction Yankees 7 Fish 3.
