Less than 100 games to go and the Yankees are 2 games out of first place. A-rod will rest for the second straight day in hopes that a recharge will pull him out of his current slump. That’s the thing about Arod when he’s hot he’s hot but when he’s not he’s horrible. At the end of the season it always works out to around a .300 average with 30+ homers and 100 RBI’s. If after missing more than 20 games he is going to pull that off he needs to get hot in a hurry.

The Yankees are playing for a second day in a row at Dolphins Stadium (again I cant go with the land dead shark thing or whatever they are calling it now) or as It is being called Yankee Stadium south because of the abundance of Yankee fans that came out for last nights game. Its kind of sad when there are more fans for the Yankees than for the Fish in their home crowd. Here is a look at tonight’s starting Yankees line-up.

YANKEES (38-29)
Jeter SS
Damon LF
Teixeira 1B
Posada C
Cano 2B
Swisher RF
Cabrera CF
Berroa 3B
Burnett RHP

Pitching: A.J. Burnett (5-3, 4.46)

Angel Berroa gets the start for the second straight night at third base. Last night he played solid baseball with the bat and with the glove. Just a fluke?  maybe, maybe the Yankees are showcasing him in hopes that they can get something for him when he is eventually released. Quite possibly when Xavier Nady or Jose Molina are ready to return to action.

Aj Burnett and the Marlins parted on bad terms. AJ said some bad things about the Fish implying that they didn’t play hard and that it was depressing to play there, for which he received a suspension paving the way for the Marlins pitcher tonight Josh Johnson. Johnson is the Best pitcher to wear the Marlin pinstripes sense Aj left for the Blue Jays in 2005.

So tonight game should be a good one as Aj should be playing with a little fire in his belly and hopefully will come with his good stuff. Game time is 7:05 on Yes should be a good one.
