Liriano, P

The Yankees need to get Hughes settled in right away. The best way to do that is to jump out to an early lead. I would look for ARod to continue to struggle tonight. Pressure will be on him to perform in his first game at the new stadium. I do not think he will come up big. I do expect Jeter, and Matsui to continue to heat up. I also look for Tex to heat up as he has been swinging the bat better the last couple of games. The Key is to jump on Liriano early and often giving Hughes a sense of comfort out on the mound. That the young Yankee pitcher doesn’t feel like every pitch has to be perfect.
