Wright is consoled after giving up four HRWright gets congrats after pitching 5 inning in MLB debut

Chase Wright has been designated for assignment to make room for Andy Pettite on the 45 man roster. Chase posted a 2.41 era in AAA last season although he had a low strike out rate.  Wright was called up in 2007 (prematurely) and gave up 4 consecutive HR to the Red Sox in one game. I remember watching that game and couldn’t believe it. At 26 years old he does have some talent. He’s left handed and had a decent hook. It would not surprise me if some national league team picked him up but it also wont surprise me if he ends up in Scranton and makes another appearance on the big stage before it’s all said and done. I’m hoping he sticks around lefties don’t grow on trees.
