My faithful readers:
You may be wondering why the lack of posts. We have great things upon us. I now write all my Yankees news over on  Bronx Baseball Daily. Its a great site with a great team of writers. It gives a much broader base of Yankees news than I could ever provide for you [...]

Yankees outfield 2010 and beyond

The Yankees outfield will probably look vastly different next season than the players that will be starting this year. There are many different possibilities on who will be starting each of the positions. Nobody knows not even the Yankees who these players will be, allot will depend on individual performances this season.
One of the contributing [...]

All my hard work has not gone unnoticed. I have been offered a position as a writer over on Bronx Baseball Daily. Yankees Online Magazine Will not be gone just yet but you will probably see less news pieces and more recaps and live blogging here. I will still have my same sarcastic whit over [...]

Korea bombs Japan/ Joba Backup closer???

In what in my mind is an upset Korea defeated Japan 4-1. Darvish gave up three runs early but recovered nicely but It just wasn’t enough. Korean starter Jung Keun Bong out pitched Darvish and limited the Japanese offense to one run on three hits in  5 1/3 innings .Kenji Johjima  Japans catcher was ejected [...]

Team USA ROCKS

In what was one of the best finishes in WBC history the USA came from behind in the bottom of the ninth inning to defeat Puerto Rico 6-5 and move on to semi finals.
PR had a 2 run lead going into the bottom of the ninth when they gave up two singles to Vicotrino and [...]

United States PR remach tommarow

In WBC news Venezuela has beaten Puerto Rico setting up a PR vs. Us rematch with the winner going on to play Venezuela in a bid to go on to the finals in LA.  In the nightcap tommarow Japan will face Korea. In my mind these are the top two teams in the tournament. The [...]

USA avoids elimination with twelve hitter

The USA WBC team polished off the Netherlands 9-3 keeping their hopes of winning it all alive. Frankly if they hadn’t crushed them they would not have deserved to go any further. Roy Oswalt got the win pitching 4 scoreless innings and newly called up Brian Roberts of Baltimore went 3-3  with 3 RBI’s.  But [...]

Burnett throws perfect game

Ok it was half a perfect spring training game but still he wad sick stuff today. If he pitches like that all year, and I believe he will, 20 wins will be on his radar. His official line was
IP H R ER BB So ERA
4.0 0 0 0 0 3 0 0.00
Hopefully he can repeat those numbers with the first one being 9 at some point this [...]

Cano and Marte return to camp

After participating in the WBC with the recently eliminated Dominican Republic, Robinson Cano and Damaso Marte have returned to spring training. Neither of them is 100% and the Yankees are not happy about it. Cano has a sore right shoulder and Marte a sore Pectoral muscle. Perhaps the WBC should be played after the regular [...]
